The titles of his paintings and a conversation with the artist about motivation hint a spiritual inspiration. Too often, this kind of work is soft, sweet and amorphous...The creation of his images, the making ‘an sich’, is also very physical. He works horizontally. This means the creating is a physical process. The optical suggestion, as in painting, is less important in his creation process.
